Fimlab(https://fimlab.fi/briefly-in-english)是芬兰领先的实验室服务供应商之一。Fimlab现在为130万人口的地区提供检测服务,每年会在120个场所进行超过1500万次诊断检测。Fimlab还为没有专职病理专家的中心医院病理实验室提供检测服务。芬兰与世界其他国家一样,病理专家稀缺。为了让病理专家把最多的时间放在最需要他们的诊断环节,Fimlab已成功试行由实验室技术人员操作的冰冻切片数字化流程。

数字化术间冰冻切片的好处
 
通过在Lahti中心医院病理科安装Grundium Ocus切片扫描仪,Fimlab实验室可以为Tampere或其他地方的诊所提供检测服务。在COVID-19疫情期间,许多Fimlab实验室的专家不得不选择在家工作。数字病理专家可以通过连接到互联网和实验室信息系统的屏幕或电脑,在任何地方进行病理阅片。 
 
实验室技术人员向往常一样在载玻片上制备样本,然后将制备好的样本放入Grundium Ocus切片扫描仪进行扫描。为了最大限度地节省时间,实验人员让四台Ocus扫描仪并排同时运行,一般在扫描4-10张切片后,会将图像上传至Fimlab全玻片成像服务器上。这四台扫描仪通过单台电脑控制,使整个扫描过程变得非常简便易用。当第一张数字化切片上传至服务器时,病理学专家即可开始阅片。而其它切片仍然可以在实验室中进行样本制备或扫描。多台扫描仪联用为扫描过程提供了灵活性。
 
这意味着外科医生针对常规样本(例如前哨淋巴结)在术间组织切面缝合之前,就能及时获得病理专家的响应,使他们能够在正常的30-40分钟窗口期内采取相应的手术措施。切片扫描数字化可以避免非必要的人员和切片流动。尤其是消除了后续手术的可能性,节省了时间和金钱,最重要的是减少了患者紧张的等待和再次手术的可能性。

"更切实可行" 真正意味着什么?


Fimlab的医学细胞生物学家Teppo Haapaniemi说,从用户的角度来看,医院最感兴趣的是尽快获得高质量的诊断和分析结果。Fimlab作为他们选定的合作伙伴,在现场操作还是远程操作并不重要,因为该方法已得到验证。
 
Haapaniemi解释,Grundium Ocus数字切片扫描仪使冰冻切片病理检测变得几乎和常规方法一样快。Haapaniemi说道:“Ocus扫描仪为病理学家提供了灵活而准确的图像判读方式,冰冻切片的流程非常顺畅,在大屏幕上判读数字化切片比传统显微镜更容易。此外,针对某些疑难病例,实时会诊以及从其他病理学家获得建议也变得非常容易。”“远程工作一定会在这里开展。”他说。 “这些数字化工具使我能够准确、安全、舒适地工作,甚至不用出门。”他补充道。
